A bit about me

My name’s Becca, I’m 32.  I’m married and live with my husband and my dog, Maisy.  We had a son, an amazing son, but unfortunately he is no longer with us.  I love squirrels, laughing, rainbows, sunshine, rain and having bare feet.  I’m a primary school teacher.  I like things that are a little bit different, I enjoy changing furniture to give it my own twist.  I have Holt-Oram Syndrome (short arms, no thumbs and a slightly dodgy ticker). That’s me in a nutshell!

If you have been touched by my stories about Lentil or if you have enjoyed a recipe and feel you would like to, please consider donating in memory of our little boy on Lentil’s Just Giving page.  All money goes towards a special hospital unit for grieving parents.

  1. I just started reading your account of Lentil and – even after reading your post about you feeling sorry with how others react and feel when told the news – I will admit that I became very sad. Reading this in public, I almost cried. Your writing is wonderful, the vulnerability incredible. It’s great that you’re finding outlets for this and that you’re still creating 🙂 I’m looking forward to reading more about your journey.
